Η GRECA TV εκφράζει μία μεγάλη συγγνώμη που δεν τήρησε την υπόσχεσή της για τη ζωντανή μετάδοση της ενθρόνισης του Σεβ. Αρχιεπισκόπου Καναδά κ.κ. Αποστόλου. Δυστυχώς, τα τεχνικά προβλήματα που αντιμετώπισε η “Professional Canadian Company” που είχε μισθώσει η οργανωτική επιτροπή ενθρόνισης της Αρχιεπισκοπής ήταν η αιτία που δεν δόθηκε η σύνδεση του σήματος προς την GRECA TV για να πραγματοποιήσει την υποσχεθείσα ζωντανή μετάδοση στην παγκόσμια Ομογένεια. Τα πολλά μηνύματα απογοήτευσης, που λάβαμε από χιλιάδες απελπισμένους Χριστιανούς που περίμεναν να είναι μέρος αυτού του ιστορικού γεγονότος, τα κατανοούμε πλήρως και δεν κρυβόμαστε πίσω από τη δικαιολογία ότι «δεν φταίμε». Έπρεπε να ήμασταν πολύ περισσότερο πιεστικοί προς τους ιθύνοντες να δεχτούν τη γραπτή πρότασή μας να αναλάβει η GRECA TV με δικά της έξοδα και υπευθυνότητα τη μετάδοση αυτή. Δεχθήκαμε καλοπροαίρετα την εξουσιοδότησή τους να χρησιμοποιήσουμε το σήμα που θα μας προμήθευαν. Δυστυχώς, τα τοπικά ΜΜΕ της Παροικίας δεν τα θεωρούσαν αρκετά επαγγελματικά για τέτοιες σπουδαίες εκδηλώσεις. Είναι όμως αρκετά «επαγγελματικά» να τους στηρίζουν σε όλες τις εκδηλώσεις τους!
Η GRECA TV που με δυσκολία εξασφάλισε την παρουσία της να μαγνητοσκοπήσει την ενθρόνιση μόνο από τον εξώστη (τέως Γυναικωνίτη) του Ναού, σαν μία συγγνώμη σάς προσφέρουμε τώρα το βίντεο αυτό. Δυστυχώς, εμάς δεν μας επετράπη να καλύψουμε και το γεύμα που ακολούθησε, ενώ άλλα ΜΜΕ είχαν καλύτερη τύχη από εμάς.
GRECA TV Apologizes for Failed Live Broadcast of Enthronement – Raises Concerns Over Treatment of Local Ethnic Media

GRECA TV expresses its deep apology for not keeping its promise to broadcast live the enthronement of His Eminence Archbishop of Canada Apostolos. Unfortunately, the technical problems encountered by the “Professional Canadian Company” hired by the organizing committee for the enthronement of the Αrchdiocese were the reason why the signal connection was not given to GRECA TV to carry out the promised live broadcast to the global Greek Diaspora. We fully understand the many messages of disappointment that we received from thousands of desperate Christians who were waiting to be part of this historic event and we do not hide behind the excuse that “it is not our fault”. We should have been much more pressing towards the authorities to accept our written proposal that GRECA TV undertake this broadcast at its own expense and responsibility. We kindly accepted their authorization to use the signal that they would provide us. Unfortunately, the local media of the Paroikia were not deemed by them to be “professional enough” for such important events. However, they are “professional” enough to support them in all their events!
GRECA TV, which with difficulty secured its presence to videotape the enthronement only from the balcony (formerly Gynaikonite) of the Church, now offers you this video as an apology. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to cover the meal reception that followed, while other media had better luck than us.
